Mom's Letter

Happy Birthday, Dear Thevindie,

Wishing you the very best for a year filled with lots of love and happiness!

When I think of you all I remember is the same sweet smile I see in Neathan, Neve and Nikol and what I feel is the same love I feel for three of them as you already are part of our family in every way. When you wanted time for yourself, I was so sad and lost, but I respected your decision like I would do for Neve, Neathan and Nikol if they want distance from the family due to any reason. I know children will go, but my love will not change. For the four of you at the moment, as we will have two more joining our family in the future. Hope they will also be as wonderful as you are!

You know, Thevindie, I fell in love with Neathan’s dad when I was 17. I had boyfriends before but I found something in Arosha Uncle I have never seen in any one else. I guess that was the warmth I felt in him and his unimaginable positivity and courage. I loved him unconditionally for the good things I saw in him. We forgot to work on our weaknesses! You were different. You are both smarter and more intelligent than us to work things out and to move ahead in your life with a clear purpose and diligence that sets the foundation for a happy and successful life. That’s truly amazing!

Next time we meet let’s celebrate all these missed birthdays. Maybe in Toronto!
